Homemade Baked Italian Sausage Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground italian sausage
  • ½ sweet or yellow onion finely chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ¼ cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉ and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Gather all ingredients. Begin by mixing the panko breadcrumbs with the milk and set aside for 5-10 minutes while you prepare the rest of your ingredients. Finely chop onion, mince garlic, beat egg and grate fresh parmesan cheese.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground italian sausage, panko breadcrumbs mixture, onion, garlic, egg, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and italian seasoning. Mix with your hands until everything is combined.
  • Form the mixture into 12 meatballs, using your hands to roll into golf -ball sized meatballs. Place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Serve with your favorite marinara sauce and enjoy!
