3 tbsp creamy peanut butter 3 tbsp coconut aminos or soy sauce 2 tbsp honey 2 tbsp hoisin sauce 1-2 tbsp chili garlic paste or sriracha ⅔ cup canned coconut milk I'm using light coconut milk 1 tsp corn starch 2 tbsp water
In a small sauce pan, combine the peanut butter, coconut aminos, honey, hoisin sauce and chili garlic paste. Mix well and bring to a low simmer.
Add the coconut milk to the sauce mixture, mix well and bring to a low simmer again.
Mix together the cornstarch and water to form a slurry. This will help thicken the sauce.
Once the sauce has started to simmer, add in the cornstarch slurry mixing consistently until the sauce has thickened. Enjoy!
Adjust the chili garlic sauce to your preferred spice level, or swap it for sriracha if that's what you have on hand.
When adding the cornstarch slurry, stir continuously to ensure a smooth, lump-free sauce.
