Honey Glazed Carrots Recipe – Simple, Sweet, and Savory

Honey glazed carrots roasted in the oven until tender and caramelized. This easy dinner side is simple to make and perfectly sweet and savory.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups carrots peeled and chopped into ½ inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil or any neutral oil
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425℉. Peel and chop the carrots into ½-inch pieces, then mince the garlic.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the carrots with avocado oil, melted butter, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until evenly coated in the glaze. Spread the carrots out on a baking sheet in a single, even layer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Roast for 25–30 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the carrots are tender and caramelized. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Storage: Let the honey glazed carrots cool completely, then store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheating: For the best texture, reheat the carrots in the air fryer until warmed through and slightly crispy around the edges. You can also reheat them in the oven on a baking sheet or in the microwave for a quicker option. Keep in mind that the microwave will soften them, while the air fryer or oven helps bring back that caramelized finish
